Our approach to electronics

We believe camp is better enjoyed without electronics, and we encourage campers to leave phones, tablets, smartwatches, and gaming devices at home. From check-in to pickup, the night is full of campfires, friends, and games, and most campers never miss their screens.

What if my camper brings a phone?

That is just fine. We ask campers to keep any electronics stored in their luggage at all times. If keeping a device put away becomes difficult for a camper, our staff will keep it safe for them for the rest of their time with us.

Why stored away?

  • Cabins stay a comfortable, private space for every camper, and no camper ends up in front of another camper's screen seeing things their family would not want them to see.
  • Campers are fully present with each other, which is where the magic of an overnight actually happens.
  • Nothing expensive gets lost, dropped in the swamp, or left in a sleeping bag.

Why not ask families to leave devices home entirely?

Many parents want their camper to have a way to call home in an emergency overnight. A phone that stays in the luggage balances both: screens stay out of the cabin experience, and the phone is there if your family truly needs it.

How do I reach my camper?

Call the camp cell at (425) 382-1999, with our office line at (425) 334-6215 as a backup, and we will get a message to your camper right away. Your camper can also ask to call home at any point in the night. And if anything comes up with your camper overnight, we call you first, no matter the hour.
