Who stays with the campers overnight?
Two staff members sleep in every cabin, matched to the cabin's gender, and at least one of them is an adult (18 or older). They are with your camper from lights-out to morning, so there is always help right there if anyone needs anything.
Who are the overnight staff?
Every Campfire Nights staff member is background checked, trained, and part of our day camp crew. They may not be the exact leaders your camper had during the week, but they lead day camps all week long, so many campers walk into their cabin and recognize a familiar face.
Is anyone else on duty overnight?
Yes. The Campfire Nights director stays in a centrally located cabin and is available through the night for anything that comes up, from a case of homesickness to a camper who is not feeling well.
What if my camper has a hard night?
We will call you. If your camper is homesick, unwell, or just needs to hear your voice, a staff member will call you at the number on your reservation, no matter the hour. You will never find out in the morning that your camper had a rough night.
Can my camper call home?
Any time they ask. Our director tells every camper at shower time that they are welcome to call home and check in, and campers can ask a staff member at any point in the night.
Can I reach the camp during the night?
Yes. Call the camp cell at (425) 382-1999. Our director keeps that phone on through the night and a call will reach them. If you cannot get through, our office line at (425) 334-6215 is your backup.
What about medication?
If your camper takes medication (including inhalers and EpiPens), bring it in its original packaging, labeled with their name, along with instructions. Campers attending day camp that week check medication in through the normal day camp process. Campers arriving just for Campfire Nights check theirs in with the Campfire Nights director at drop-off.
