What can I expect the event to look like?

The event will feature a variety of interactive workshops and free time, designed to be as accessible as possible for a variety of ages.

What age is this event suitable for?

We have created a program that is accessible to a variety of ages; however, our suggested participant age is 5-13. Younger children will probably need your help to be more hands-on for some of the workshops. You are welcome to check the workshops scheduled for the event for suitability and to reach out if you have any specific questions.

What clothing would you recommend?

We are predominantly an outdoors campus so we would strongly recommend checking the weather forecast prior to your arrival and dressing in appropriate layers. While the majority of our workshop sites are covered, the rest of our parks are open to the elements. Closed-toed shoes are a requirement and unless it has been dry for an extended time, we would suggest waterproof/water resistant ones.

If it is an outdoor campus, will the event be cancelled due to bad weather?

We believe that there is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing! That being said, in the event of severely inclement weather or local warnings, we will do our best to communicate that the event has been cancelled or rescheduled with as much notice as possible.

Can I bring food and drinks with me for this event?

Yes! There are picnic tables in your area for you to use however there is currently no access to a fridge or freezer so make sure to plan accordingly.  There will also be the opportunity to purchase a packed lunch from our onsite kitchen. Please remember that the food must stay in your designated food area and if applicable, not shared with our animals - no matter how much they ask!

What happens if I can't make the event that I booked for?

Due to the nature of the event we are unable to offer a refund at this time, however if you let us know ahead of time, we can reschedule you for another event or come up with another solution.

What workshops are being offered?

We will be offering a rotating selection of workshops with a combination that is unique to that specific event. There will be a variety of classes ranging from local wildlife identification, traditional activities and skills, animal encounters, team building and some of our bigger Elements such as tree-climbs and archery. Check out the details on the website for event specific information.
