We are so excited that you are having your birthday celebrations with us! Here are a few of our frequently asked questions that will help you in your planning.

Can I bring food, drinks or cake with me for the party?

Yes! There are picnic tables in your party area for you to use. While there is a separate entrance for unloading and setting up available on request, there is currently no access to a fridge or freezer so make sure to plan accordingly. Please remember that the food must stay in your party area and that it is ONLY for your guests and not for our critters—no matter how much they ask! We also want to remind you that Cedar Springs is an alcohol-free campus—alcohol should not be brought or consumed during your visit.

Can I decorate the party area?

For safety reasons we cannot allow balloons, confetti, glitter or decorations at the party site as they can easily become a choking hazard for our curious animals.

What clothing would you recommend?

We work with live animals, which often comes with mud, dirt, grass stains and mess, so please wear farm appropriate clothing.  Close-toed shoes are required in all our animal areas. Our birthday parties run rain or shine, so please tell your guests to prepare for the weather!

Do we have access to the whole animal park?

Yes! Your party will have a designated party area to visit animals in, but you have access to the whole public area for the duration of your reserved time. We do ask that you do not go into any of the pens or shelters and that children under 10 are accompanied by an adult at all times for safety reasons.

Can I bring personal pets/ animals with me?

No, not at this time.

Is there somewhere to wash our hands?

Yes! Hand washing stations are available in various locations around the animal area. Staff will also provide prompts on when to wash hands.

What happens if a specific animal is unavailable?

Animal Park staff will do their best to bring the animal you have requested however, sometimes due to illness, injury or some other issue, staff may have to make a same day adjustment. This decision is made to help ensure the health and wellbeing of both you and the animal. All effort will be made to inform you ahead of time if we have prior knowledge of a switch needing to be made.

Are all the animals friendly?

As trained and socialized as our animals are, they are still animals and sometimes will still do animal things. Staff will work with your group to create the best possible atmosphere for meaningful interactions.
